The nursery is located in a purpose built building in a quiet area off Isledon Road only a couple of minutes from Finsbury Park station. The dedicated space is split between two main areas, Starlight room for babies and Open plan for toddlers. There is also a great outdoor play area for the children including a dedicated individual space for babies.

Starlight room

Starlight room is our large, airy and warm baby room. It has the capacity for up to 15 babies from 6 months to 2 years old. Starlight room has a dedicated outdoor area of nearly the same size as the indoor area. There are several cots and a warm and cozy area where the babies/toddlers sleep.

Open plan

Open plan is set across two learning rooms and has the capacity for 30 children from 2 to 5 years old. They also have a separate outside area, which has shading on parts allowing outdoor play in any weather.

We understand the importance of our children feeling happy, safe and secure in the room, in order for them to go off and explore the environment and learn. This is why we focus specifically on the three prime areas of the early year’s foundation stage framework: Personal Social and Emotional development, Communication and Language development and Physical development. We observe and plan around the individual children’s needs and offer a range of activities from snuggling with stories to fun and exciting exploration of malleable resources.

The rooms are organised to cover all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework offering an enabling environment for the children to become active learners. Activities are planned taking into account the children’s individual needs. Children are able to participate in a range of activities such as group activities, adult led and spontaneous activities which all enrich children with the opportunity of exploring and experimenting through first hand play.
